Loisaba
Lodge, Laikipia
Only a few miles from
the equator, this private game ranch on
60,000 acres is in a wilderness of remote
beauty where the farm management and local
community work together to preserve the
environment and abundant surrounding
wildlife. The view from Loisaba
extends hundreds of miles and through the
ranch roam elephant, lion and leopard
alongside the endemic species that thrive
here - gerenuk, Grevy's zebra and
reticulated giraffe. Accommodation can
either be in the main lodge which has seven
rooms, Star Beds under the stars or in the
house or cottage which offer guests private
and exclusive accommodation, with their own
staff, car and guide. The lodge is
built on an escarpment and is luxurious, yet
in harmony with its surrounding; full of
adventure, yet an oasis of calm. |

Governors' Il Moran Camp, Masai Mara
This exclusive camp is
situated along the banks of the Mara River
and hidden in the shadow of ancient trees.
The camp recreates the atmosphere of the
original hunting camps and each of the ten
tents is furnished to a superior standard.
The beds have been hand carved from fallen
ancient olive trees and the en-suites
include a Victorian style bath. Each
tent has a large veranda where you can take
dinner in private if you wish, other meals
are served outdoors amongst the trees.
The Masai Mara is a unique area with a
constant and unrivalled flow of wildlife
throughout the year. In the camp birds
and butterflies abound, elephants wander
through the night and leopards call nearby.
Nowhere else can you get so far from
civilisation, yet stay in such style.
