Why Egypt

Cairo, with the Nile at its heart, is an extraordinary mixture of old and new, providing an endless variety of things to do and see.  There is an incredible selection of shopping opportunities from the local crafts to designer wear; culture with all manner of monuments and museums and food outlets from Arabic coffee houses and pavement cafés to floating restaurants on the Nile.
Luxor, once the capital of ancient Egypt, lies on the banks of the River Nile.  On the east bank are the temples of Luxor and Karnak, whilst on the west bank, in the Valley of the Kings and Queens are the burial tombs of the Pharaohs and their wives.
