This is a land of
diversity, a vast country harbouring an
immense variety of scenery that ranges from
the palm-edged beaches of the tropical south
to the snows of the mighty Himalayas.
In between there are jungles and forests,
lush river valleys and barren deserts, busy
modern cities and quiet villages to explore
and provide an endless series of surprises
and pleasures. With a recorded history
of more than 4000 years of empires that have
risen and fallen, religions that has taken
root and flourished, a succession of foreign
invasions and conquests of trade, India has
always been an irresistible magnet. |

Kerala is on the southwest coast,
sandwiched between the Lakshadweep Sea
and the Western Ghats. Its long
shoreline with serene beaches, tranquil
stretches of emerald backwaters, lush
hill stations, exotic wildlife,
waterfalls, plantations and paddy fields
make it arguably the most beautiful
state in India. Ayurveda, an
ancient school of medicine, has been
mastered here and Ayurvedic health
holidays, magical festivals, historic
and cultural monuments, an exotic
cuisine and the wonderful scenery, all
make this a great destination.
A former
Portuguese colony, Goa
is relaxed and different from other
parts of India. Its heritage can
be seen in Iberian façades,
white palm-shaded churches and sunny
piazzas covered with bougainvillea.
These together with miles of silver palm
fringed beaches lapped gently by the
Arabian Sea, combine to make Goa
irresistible.
