Welcome
to
Egypt

Renown for its history which stretches back over 6000 years, Egypt is a land of mystery and legend.  Such a past has left the country with an unequaled collection of ancient monuments and relics.  Whilst the Pyramids are, perhaps, the most famous of Egypt's sights, Roman ruins, Byzantine churches and exquisitely decorated mosques testify to the various cultures that have influenced the country.
Cairo, with the Nile at its heart, is an extraordinary mixture of old and new, providing an endless variety of things to do and see.  There is an incredible selection of shopping opportunities from the local crafts to designer wear; culture with all manner of monuments and museums and food outlets from Arabic coffee houses and pavement cafés to floating restaurants on the Nile.  Leisure activities include golf courses, horse and camel racing, the botanical gardens, the zoo and folklore shows.

Luxor

Once the capital of ancient Egypt, Luxor lies on the banks of the River Nile.  On the east bank are the temples of Luxor and Karnak, whilst on the west bank, in the Valleys of the Kings and Queens, are the burial tombs of the Pharaohs and their wives.

Sharm El Sheikh

Located at the southernmost tip of the Sanai Peninsula, Sharm El Sheikh combines sun, sea, sand and shopping with excellent hotels, entertainment, water sports and reef diving.
Scuba diving is particular impressive in this Red Sea resort, the advantage for Bahrain divers is that this world-renowned diving area, suitable for divers of all levels, is just under 4 hours away.  Thousands of kilometres of coastline are blessed with extensive reef formations and islands.  The underwater scenery with 400 varieties of coral and 1500 species of fish, turtle and shark, coupled with year round good weather and great visibility make this an unforgettable experience above and below the water.  For those who wish to stay on top of the water the are snorkeling opportunities as well as a variety of water sports on offer.

Perhaps one of the most satisfying of ways to experience the vast depth and richness of the Egyptian heritage is to take a Nile cruise.  It combines culture with an effective and comfortable means of transport tinged with a hint of romanticism.
